St. Catherine Hospital Dodge City is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to collaborate with the healthcare team in delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

The RN will assess and address physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs, using the nursing process to achieve safe patient outcomes. Requires RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, NIHSS, ENPC or PALS, and TNCC; ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement.
• Active and unencumbered RN License in state of employment.
• BLS from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS from the American Heart Association.
• NIHSS.
• ENPC or PALS.
• One year RN ED experience.
• TNCC within one year of hire.
• Physical Requirements: Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly.

Responsabilités

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation and chart review.
• Evaluate patient responses and intervene to optimize outcomes.
• Develop and implement patient care plans with interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in IVs, wound care, medications, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Maintain patient charts accurately and confidentially.
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes.
• Use IT to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decisions.
• Promote health, safety, and patient rights; educate patients/families.
