Job summary

Avera Health seeks a Nursing Supervisor to oversee the nursing department activities and coordinate communications between nursing staff, physicians, and other clinic units. You will work closely with the Clinic Manager to ensure efficient clinical operations and patient flow.

The role includes developing goals, managing staffing, and maintaining high standards of care, with responsibilities spanning policy development, staff training, and crisis management.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice
• Experience supervising nursing staff and coordinating care
• Strong communication with clinicians and departments

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical operations and patient flow in collaboration with the Clinic Manager
• Develop and implement goals for the clinic and nursing department
• Manage staffing levels and schedules to ensure efficient, high-quality care
• Develop, implement, and update department policies and competencies in patient care
• Maintain clinical competency and uphold service standards for the unit
• Provide direct patient care as needed and support crisis management when required
