PeaceHealth is seeking a RN Clinic - PHMG Clinical Support for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Variable position. The salary range is $44.27 – $71.09. Hiring rate and bonus may be available depending on experience.

Description

Provides professional nursing care to patients in the clinic/outpatient setting in compliance with professional practice standards. Promotes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach toward patients, families, and all members of the care delivery team.

Essential Functions
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
  • Conduct patient triage, counsel patients, provide patient education, take histories, administer medications, change dressings, clean wounds and monitor vital signs.
  • Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
  • Ensure own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
  • Participate in development and maintenance of policies, procedures, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
  • Required: Accredited School of Nursing.
Experience
  • Preferred: 1 year of RN experience.
Credentials
  • Required: Registered Nurse in state of practice.
  • Required: Basic Life Support upon hire.
  • Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire.
Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and patient/family centered work environment.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office applications.
  • Effective prioritization skills.
  • Ability to provide health education to patients, staff and community.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, JCAHO, DNV & HCFA regulations pertaining to ambulatory care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs.
Working Conditions
Lifting
  • Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without assistive equipment.
  • Fine motor skills required for medical equipment and precise procedures.
  • Push/Pull: Frequently up to 45 lbs. force.
  • Hands on CPR at least 20 minutes using 100-125 lbs. of force, seldom or occasionally.
  • Ability to move around area with frequent sitting.
  • Bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, kneeling frequently.
  • Lifting non-patient up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently.
Environmental Conditions
  • Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.
  • Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
Mental/Visual
  • Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
