Job summary

AdventHealth in Lake Wales, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse to assess and diagnose patient and family needs, and to develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the care team. You will provide high-quality nursing care and contribute to patient outcomes in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Associates of Nursing is required.
• Bachelor of Nursing is preferred.
• Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS/ACLS certifications are required or preferred.

• Develops and communicates a plan of care for each patient in collaboration with the patient, family, and significant others.

Job Description

• Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care.
• Develops and communicates a plan of care for each patient in collaboration with the patient, family, and significant others. Implements medical plans of care, nursing interventions, and procedures using necessary skills and judgment.
• Evaluates identified problems, care provided, and patient responses to ensure overall quality of care.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided.
• Pursues professional growth and development, maintaining current knowledge, certification, and licensure per hospital policy. Serves as a role model for current and new staff.
• Attends required safety training programs and understands responsibilities related to general and specific job-related safety, including following Hospital Exposure Control Plans for Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens.
• Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees.
