UF Health Leesburg Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an oncology-focused role. Under the direction of the director and charge nurse, you will assess patients, plan and implement care, and evaluate outcomes in a high-quality cancer care setting.

Responsibilities include documentation, adherence to core measures, and participation in education and PI initiatives, with emphasis on compassionate patient and family interactions during complex treatment journeys.

Qualificações

• ADN required.
• BSN preferred.
• Florida RN license.
• BLS certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification.
• ONS Biotherapy certification within 3 months of hire.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required (within 6 months).
• Strong communication, attention to detail and compassionate care.

Seeking nurses who are committed to delivering specialized cancer care and are eager to develop expertise in the oncology setting.

Under the direction of the director/ charge nurse, the RN utilizes the nursing process, facilitates patient care making nursing assessments and diagnosis, formulates care plans based on the diagnosis and implements and evaluates the plan of care, performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

1. Demonstrates clinical care that is safe, best outcome practice with all Core Measures compliant.
2. Documents care provision per departmental standards.
3. Demonstrates compliance with all HCAHPS behaviors to allow patients and families to have an excellent hospital experience.
4. Completes assigned work as scheduled in allotted time frame.
5. Engages in departmental/hospital committees, PI projects, and educational offerings to peers, mentoring/precepting of new team members.
6. Attends Staff Meetings, completes all required competencies and mandatory education as assigned.
7. Seeks training, educational, certification and enhancement in area focus/specialty.
8. Other duties as assigned.
9. Demonstrates behavior standards that enhance positive interactions with physicians, peers, patients and family members.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Florida Registered Nurse License
• BLS
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• ONS Biotherapy Certification within 3 months of hire

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required

• Prior oncology experience is strongly preferred.
• Candidates without oncology experience must demonstrate a strong interest in learning oncology nursing and commitment to professional development.
• For Chemotherapy RN positions, previous oncology experience is required.
• Chemotherapy certification is preferred; however, candidates without certification must be willing to obtain chemotherapy certification within six months of hire.
• Candidates should possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients and families during complex treatment journeys.
