Job summary

BayCare seeks a Wound Care Charge Nurse in Clearwater, FL. The role focuses on specialized wound care, mentoring nursing staff, and serving as a resource and preceptor within the Enterostomal Therapy Services.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years RN experience, a valid RN license, and BLS certification. BSN or RN specialty certification within 7 months of hire is required. Full-time, day shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, on-site with no remote work.

The Wound Care Charge Nurse is proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills. Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team. Responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization. Acts as a mentor and resource expert, supports and shares organizational information to all team members. Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse. Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.

Education:

• Required BSN or BS Healthcare related field or an RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion.
