Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process and established standards. The RN may serve as charge nurse when assigned and remains accountable for patients, with some tasks delegated to other licensed or unlicensed staff.

Applicants should be graduates of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree; a BSN is preferred and required within three years for certain hires.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN within three years of hire/transfer for new hires (varies by date).
• BSN preferred.
• Demonstrates teamwork and communicates professionally with the healthcare team.
• Ability to learn and apply computer technologies and procedures affecting patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process and standards of practice.
• Function as charge nurse when assigned.
• Maintain accountability for assigned patients; may delegate tasks to others.
• Care assignments are based on patient age and developmental level.
