Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Part-Time Charge Nurse to oversee nursing care for residents on a shift basis. You will follow treatment plans, assess residents, and report changes in condition while ensuring safe medication administration and narcotics control.

The role involves supervising CNAs, transcribing physician orders, and maintaining meticulous documentation in MARs and treatment sheets. Strong English skills, empathy, and professional conduct are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of progressive nursing experience, preferably in a long term care setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Fluent English speaking and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care according to treatment plan or physician's directions.
• Distribute and chart medications; manage narcotics inventory.
• Supervise CNAs and respond to emergencies.
• Transcribe, verify, implement physician orders.
• Report significant changes in condition to physician, supervisor, and family.
• Maintain documentation on MARs, Treatment Sheets, and monthly summaries.
• Counsel and/or discipline CNAs per facility policy.
• Make regular rounds to ensure resident care and safety.
• Implement QA recommendations.

RN PART-TIME 3-11 and 11-7The Charge Nurse is responsible for the well being and nursing care of all residents assigned to him or her during the shift.Reporting to the Supervisor, he or she provides nursing services following the resident’s treatment plan or physician’s directions, assesses residents and responds to and reports any changes in condition, distributes and charts medications, distributes narcotics and manages the narcotic inventory, supervises the staff of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), and responds to emergencies.Fluent English speaking and writing skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.Assigns resident care according to the needs of the resident and the unitTranscribes, verifies, and implements physician’s ordersReports significant changes in condition to physician, supervisor, and familyAdministers medications in a safe and timely manner and completes appropriate documentationDocuments episodic events for residents and completes all pertinent documentation, including checking MARs, Treatment Sheets, and monthly summariesCounsels and/or disciplines CNAs per facility policyMakes regular rounds to ensure resident care, environmental safety, and employee performanceImplements QI recommendationsMaintains current CPR certificationTwo years of progressive nursing experience, preferably in a long term care settingKnowledge of state and local regulations regarding long term careMust be available for some weekday shiftMust work one weekend shift a month as well as one major and one minor holidayPart-Time Benefits Offered:
