Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse Charge for the Post Surgical Unit on the full-time night shift.

The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to post-surgical patients, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with a skilled team to deliver exceptional patient experiences.

Candidates should have Texas RN license, BCLS/ACLS, and leadership experience; prior OR/orthopedic/charge experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
• Current Texas RN License.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certification.
• PALS recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for post-surgical patients in accordance with accepted standards.
• Ensure high-quality and safe delivery of patient care, adhering to Joint Commission and state/federal standards.
• Care for patients from 2 years to geriatric.
• Respond to patients presenting with healthcare needs and perform Medical Screening Exam as delegated.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse Charge to join our Post Surgical Unit!

**Full Time Night Shift**

Registered Nurse Charge Post Surgical Unit at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington:

• The PSU Nurse has the responsibility to provide all nursing care services for the post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care.
• He/She ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintains compliance with professional nursing, The Joint Commission, and all Federal and State standards of care.
• The RN cares for all ages from 2 years to geriatric.
• This position is assigned to respond to patients presenting to the facility with a healthcare need and providing the Medical Screening Exam as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee.

Required Skills:

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing
• Current Texas RN License
• Current BCLS, ACLS
• PALS recommended.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years clinical experience in an RN in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU unit
• Strong ER experiencepreferred.
• Previous experience as a Charge strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Good organization habits
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
• Must have- 1-yearCritical care, ED, or ICU nursingexperience.
• Must have- 2 years orthopedic nursingexperience.
• Must have- 1 year leadership experience (charge nurse, preceptor, committee chair).
