Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an RN - Charge Nurse to facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities for quality patient care during the assigned shift at Baptist Medical Center East.

The role reports to the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager and includes mentoring staff, applying nursing processes and quality standards, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies. Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc may be required depending upon area assigned.
• Minimum 1 year staff nurse experience required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities for quality patient care during the assigned shift.
• Mentor staff and serve as role model in nursing process, quality improvement standards, and department goals.
• Coordinate implementation of hospital policies and procedures.
