Job summary

Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking an experienced RN Charge Nurse to supervise nursing staff on shift, including weekends and holidays, ensuring quality and continuity of patient care across units.

You will utilize the nursing process for patient assessments, planning of care, and interventions, collaborating with Physicians and other clinicians to implement effective care plans. Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Active RN licensure required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc may be required depending on area assigned.
• Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide general supervision and coordination of nursing personnel on shift, and during weekends and holidays, to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions.
• Collaborate with Physicians and other healthcare clinicians in the planning and implementation of patient care.
• This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
