Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, Tennessee is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 12-hour day shift. The RN will provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, supervise staff, and coordinate with physicians and teams to ensure continuity of care on the assigned unit.

The role requires an ASN/BSN and TN RN licensure, with BLS (and ACLS/PALS preferred) and a commitment to quality, safety, and patient education. Evening and call-back duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree in nursing required.
• Current RN licensure in Tennessee.
• BLS within orientation; recertification kept current.
• ACLS & PALS preferred; NRP within 1 year.
• Additional certifications may be required by department.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessment and plan of care.
• Document care delivery and patient records.
• Coordinate bedside care and assist with procedures.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and other staff.
• Supervise nursing personnel and assign tasks by acuity.
