Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Florida to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients using the nursing process. The RN will perform staff nurse duties and serve as charge nurse when assigned, while maintaining accountability for assigned patients.

Required education includes an Associate's Degree in Nursing, with a BSN to be completed within three years of hire. Licensure in Florida and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are mandatory as specified by department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensed to practice nursing in Florida.
• BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross on start date.
• ACLS required for several departments by hire/transfer or within six months.
• PALS within six months for PICU and Trauma Center; other departments as applicable.
• New hires with BSN within three years of hire or transfer, or grandfathered if hired earlier.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse.
• Perform all staff nurse activities and act as charge nurse when assigned.
• Maintain accountability for assigned patients even when tasks are delegated to others.
