Job summary

Christus Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care for a defined patient group. You will plan, implement, and evaluate care, supervise LVN/LPNs and other staff, and participate in education and orientation. The role covers pediatric to geriatric patients and may involve charge nurse duties.

Requirements include a BSN preferred, 6–12 months RN experience, BLS, and RN license (state or compact). ACLS certification and Graduate Nurse Permit may be required.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year RN experience
• Current ACLS certification is required
• RN license in state of employment or compact
• Graduate Nurse Permit may be required

Responsibilities

• Develops a comprehensive nursing care plan
• Implements patient care as planned in nursing plans
• Evaluates patient response to interventions
• Completes nursing progress notes and flow sheets
• Assists in orientation and precepts new staff
• Maintains patient confidentiality and effective communication
