Corewell Health Wayne Hospital is seeking a Charge Lead Nurse to provide direct oversight of all on-line unit processes in the Progressive Care Unit. The role requires MI RN licensure, BSN within 5 years for those with ADN or Diploma, and a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, plus BLS certification.

Serving the region since 1957, this 99-bed, full-service acute care center is the only one in the Wayne, Westland, Garden City, Canton, Inkster and Romulus area verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level III trauma center and certified by The Joint Commission. Scope of Work

TheChargeLead Nurserole is to provide direct oversight and supervision of all on line unit processes. This is inclusive of but not limited to staffing and scheduling changes affecting current shift, patient care issues and concerns. Appropriate allocation of resources responding to all codes, and handling employee issues and concerns. In addition to ensuring consistent flow of patients through the department. Functions within the framework of policies and procedures of the hospital and demonstrates growth/development.

Qualifications

• Required Associate’s Degree or equivalent Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate’s degree or equivalent.

• Required Bachelor’s Degree For new hires or recent promotions with ADN or Diploma, must complete BSN within 5 years of hire.

• 2 years of relevant experience recent nursing experience. Required

• LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or

• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required Or

• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - CANADIAN HEART AND STROKE FOUNDATION Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation Upon Hire required
