Job summary

Endeavor Health's Elmhurst Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Central Resource Team/Float Pool. This full-time role offers a 36-hour work week, day shift from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, and a competitive hourly pay rate based on experience.

You will deliver professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois RN Practice Act, assess patients, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, and collaborate with unit staff to meet goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing
• Requires 1+ years' of RN experience in an inpatient unit setting
• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
• If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Basic Life Support Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within one year of start date into position

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Employs critical thinking, assesses patients’ condition, plans and evaluates care, monitors progress, and records observations.
• Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
• Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
• Duties may vary by unit or shift.
