Job summary

Henry Ford Health System in Michigan is seeking an RN to lead the CDU Observation unit during 36-hour night shifts. The role uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, while delegating, supervising and documenting care and teaching of patients and families.

Candidates should have BSN preferred, graduation from accredited nursing program, current MI RN license, BCLS, and lactation/wound care certifications within specified timelines.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Health care provider certification (BCLS). RN Lactation Consultant: IBCLC certification must be acquired within 12 months of hire & maintained. One to two (1-2) years as a Lactation Consultant/Specialist preferred. RN Wound Care: Completion of accredited wound care program (before certification requirements). WOCNCB®/NCCA/CNA certification within 18 months of hire; certification must be maintained and current.
