Medical Center Hospital is seeking a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist RN for a full-time day shift. The role focuses on improving clinical documentation through physician query processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness to support severity of illness, risk of mortality, and appropriate reimbursement.

The ideal candidate has inpatient clinical experience, strong communication and critical thinking skills, and can learn coding concepts and CMS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Inpatient clinical experience or related clinical background required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong critical thinking.
• Familiar with documentation guidelines and CMS rules; ability to learn coding concepts.

Responsabilités

• Facilitates improvement of clinical documentation to identify conditions and procedures.
• Secures accurate documentation to support severity of illness, risk of mortality, and reimbursement.
• Educates care team on documentation practices and CMS guidelines.
