ARMStaffing is seeking a skilled Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) Registered Nurse for travel and local contract opportunities across the U.S. You will care for post-operative cardiac patients in high-acuity ICUs, monitoring vitals, EKGs, and providing critical care with ventilators and invasive devices.

Required are an active RN license, 1–2 years ICU with CCU experience, plus BLS and ACLS; CCRN is preferred. Familiarity with Epic or Cerner EMR systems is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license.
• Minimum 1-2 years of ICU experience, with at least 1 year in a cardiac ICU or CCU.
• BLS and ACLS certification required (CCRNs preferred).
• Strong knowledge of post-op cardiac protocols, hemodynamic monitoring, and telemetry.
• Experience with critical care equipment (e.g., Swan-Ganz, balloon pump, CVP lines).
• Familiarity with EMR systems preferred (Epic, Cerner).

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients in a high-acuity ICU setting.
• Monitor cardiac status, vital signs, and EKGs; respond to arrhythmias and emergencies.
• Administer medications, titrate drips (vasopressors, inotropes), and manage ventilators.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and surgical teams to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using hospital EMR systems.
• Educate patients and families on cardiac procedures, recovery expectations, and care plans.

Job Description
