Job summary

Wheeling Hospital Inc. in Wheeling, WV, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Continuous Care Center (CCC) at full-time status. This role delivers professional nursing care in an inpatient setting with responsibilities aligned to the CAPE clinical ladder and ongoing professional development.

The position requires an active RN license, BLS certification within 30 days, and at least 1 year of RN experience. BSN preferred. Schedule typical weekly hours are 36.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state RN license through eNLC.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire date.
• One year of registered nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Modifies patient plans of care based on data collection and individual needs.
• Uses Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) to provide patient care.
• Delegates according to scope of practice.
• Verifies the plan of care with interprofessional colleagues, patient, and caregiver(s).
• Provides education based on learning needs and involvement of family.
• Promotes effective communication among interprofessional team members and healthcare consumers.
• Influences policies to promote safe patient care.
• Utilizes resources to provide care, especially in sensitive situations.
• Contributes to the growth and influence of the organizational plan.
