Job summary

Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego in San Diego, CA is seeking a Cath Lab Recovery RN for a full-time, 12-hour shift position at Scripps Mercy in Hillcrest. The role involves direct patient care in a high-acuity setting, with a focus on cardiac ICUs and post‑operative recovery, within a nationally recognized health system.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in cardiac ICU/PACU, plus BLS/ACLS; preferred 3 years in cardiac ICU/PACU and a nursing degree.

Qualifications

• One year of cardiac ICU, Cath or EP Lab, Emergency Department, Cardiac Care Unit, PACU or PCU experience with knowledge of cardiac drips.
• BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Experience with care of the critical cardiac patient and care of the post cardiac surgical/procedure patient.
• 3 years cardiac ICU/PACU experience preferred
• Knowledge of patient focused care delivery
• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Experience with radial bands, groin management, and Femostops

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, and evaluation of progress toward outcomes.
• Collaborate with care teams and support professional development and best practices.
• Advise and inform patients about their treatment to ensure comfort.
