RN - Cath Lab

License: Valid NC or Compact license pending okay for submittal

Certifications: ACLS, BLS

Must-Have:

• RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.
• Call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Call required - 1 night per week.
• Float required as needed.
• Weekend coverage required - 1 weekend every other month.
• Pre-approved time off is limited to no more than 7 days.
• Candidates must be open to floating within and near facility per job description.

Description:

The Cath Lab RN will perform care in the cardiac catheterization lab.Clinicians will work 4x10 shifts with some early shifts starting at 06:30.One of the four days will be designated as a late shift to complete the last patient of the day.This position includes the expectation to work on a Storm Team or Hurricane Team if necessary.Contract staff may be required to report to work during catastrophic events or mass casualties.Testing must be completed within 48 hours after contract signing.All candidates will undergo necessary orientation and training.The unit utilizes systems including Pyxis, MAC LAB, CUPID, EPIC, and SBAR.Candidates will provide care for adult and geriatric populations.Daily census for the unit is approximately 30 patients.Candidates will perform various cardiac procedures and interventions.Strong familiarity with cardiac monitoring and emergent care protocols is required.Candidates must demonstrate competency in various cardiac interventions and therapies.The position also involves monitoring procedural sedation and performing various catheterizations.
