Job summary

Dignity Health - Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced cath lab environment. You will perform assessments, plan care, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Prerequisites include CA RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, and experience in critical care or emergency nursing. Prior cath lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate Education level necessary to obtainrequired licensure and certifications
• Experience in Critical Care or Emergency Nursing required., upon hire or
• Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provides necessary assessment , intervention and evaluation for Cath Lab patients, Uses multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Maintanis competence and functions independently with more complex treatments, procedures, and medical equipment such as set up and troubleshooting of IABP, Hemodynamic monitoring, Administration of Aniti-thrombolytic therapy, ECG monitors, cardiopulmonary arrest, perform activated clotting times (ACTs).
• Act quickly and appropriately in life-threatening emergency situations.
• Willingly participates and adheres to NPSG and The Joint Commission core measures to ensure safe patient care.
• Holding room, Receives patients from nursing units and outside hospitals, Assesses pre-procedure needs and institues appropriate nursing care, provides post-procedure care following physician orders, directs transfer of post-procedure patients to appropriate nursing unit.
