Job summary

Dignity Health - Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, CA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced cath lab environment.

You will perform assessments, plan and implement patient care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes for cardiac patients. CA RN licensure, ACLS/BLS, and cath lab experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications
• Experience in Critical Care or Emergency Nursing required
• Registered Nurse: CA licensure required
• Basic Life Support - CPR required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support required

Responsibilities

• Assessment and Patient Care
• Provides necessary assessment , intervention and evaluation for Cath Lab patients, Uses multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Maintanis competence and functions independently with more complex treatments, procedures, and medical equipment such as set up and troubleshooting of IABP, Hemodynamic monitoring, Administration of Antithrombolytic therapy, ECG monitors, cardiopulmonary arrest, perform activated clotting times (ACTs).
• Act quickly and appropriately in life-threatening emergency situations.
• Willingly participates and adheres to NPSG and The Joint Commission core measures to ensure safe patient care.
• Holding room, Receives patients from nursing units and outside hospitals, Assesses pre-procedure needs and institues appropriate nursing care, provides post-procedure care following physician orders, directs transfer of post-procedure patients to appropriate nursing unit.
