Job summary

Texas Health Huguley is seeking a PRN cardiovascular procedure clinician skilled in ECG and arrhythmia interpretation. The role requires caring for patients during procedures, maintaining sterile equipment, and ensuring accurate records. You will train staff and participate in safety and quality initiatives while collaborating with nurses and physicians.

Applicants should hold an Associate degree (Bachelor's preferred) and have 1+ year acute care experience. Eligible for BLS; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ECG and arrhythmia interpretation is required.
• Understanding of cardiovascular and vascular anatomy.
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff.

Job Description:

PRN, as needed

Rate: $44.56/hour

• Maintains and operates equipment and supplies for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring proper setup and sterilization.
• Produces accurate and timely medical records for each patient based on the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions.
• Trains and supervises new personnel, providing orientation and ongoing education.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.
• Ensures adherence to regulatory standards and enforces safety regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation
• Knowledge of Cardiovascular anatomy
• Knowledge of vascular anatomy
• Knowledge of Hemodynamic Monitoring
• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals

Education:

• Associate [Required]

Work Experience:

• 1+ year of Critical, Acute Care experience (ER, ICU, IR, Cath Lab, Surgery) [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] AND
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred] AND
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required] OR
• Registered Technologist - Radiography (R.T.(R)(ARRT)) [Required] OR
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) [Required] OR
• Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) [Required]
