Job summary

Kadlec Regional Medical Center, part of Providence, seeks an RN Care Manager to provide clinically-based case management and coordinate care across discharge planning and utilization management in Richland, WA.

Under the direction of the Director, you will collaborate with the health care team, verify medical necessity, and develop discharge plans with patients and families. This is a full-time day-shift role focused on patient-centered care and reimbursement optimization.

Has the overall accountability for the integrated responsibilities of case management; utilization management, discharge planning, facilitation and coordination of care. Collaborates with other members of the health care team to identify appropriate utilization of resources and to ensure reimbursement. Utilizes criteria to confirm medical necessity for admission and continued stay. In conjunction with the patient, family and healthcare team, creates a discharge plan appropriate to the patients' needs and resources.

Shift Details:

• Full time, Day Shift, 40 working hours weekly

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.


• Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution.


• 2 years Recent inpatient clinical experience in an acute care facility.


• Previous Case Management, discharge planning or utilization review experience.
