Rocky Mountain Care - Hunter Hollow in West Valley City seeks a Registered Nurse to lead resident care on the Nursing Services unit. You will supervise LPNs/CNAs, administer medications, and coordinate with physicians to ensure high-quality outcomes.

This role emphasizes holistic, patient-centered care, adherence to policies, and participation in admissions, discharges, and care-plan updates. CPR certification and active RN license are required.

Qualifications

• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and policies.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for residents.
• Ensures policies and procedures are followed by nursing staff.
• Participates in admission, discharge and transfer processes.
• Assesses changes in resident status and notifies physician and family; documents accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical records and carries out orders.
• Prepares and administers medications as per orders and monitors for adverse effects.
• Performs wound care as ordered and documents changes.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and coordinates transportation.
• Provides nursing leadership to the unit and collaborates with the inter-disciplinary team.
• Participates in QAPI activities and infection control efforts.
