Signature HealthCARE in Kinston, NC is seeking an experienced RN to join our team. You will provide direct resident care, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and supervise nursing staff to maintain high-quality care.

The role emphasizes medication administration, ADLs support, and accurate clinical documentation within a long-term care environment. A valid RN license and strong clinical judgment are required.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and skilled nursing procedures.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Supervise and direct nursing assistants and medication aides during the assigned shift in accordance with facility policies and regulations.
• Monitor and observe residents’ physical and emotional status; notify the attending physician and responsible party of changes.
• Develop, implement, and review individualized resident care plans with the team.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation per facility policy and procedure.
• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges according to procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and staff education.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
