Job summary

The Laurels of Sandy Creek/Maplewood of, part of Ciena Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee resident care on assigned shifts. You will assess and implement care plans, supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other staff, and ensure safety and quality in a sub-acute/long-term setting.

Responsibilities include directing staffing, evaluating performance, and coordinating with families. Current RN license and CPR certification are required, with 1–2 years’ relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute preferred.
• Current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, Medication Aides, CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
