Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a Registered Nurse in California to provide patient care using the nursing process under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s). The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care with strong communication and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities include administering medications, assisting with procedures, counting controlled substances, and documenting encounters.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience.
• Must have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs with the Charge Nurse and staff.
• Administer medications and assist with diagnostic tests and minor procedures.
• Count controlled substances and ensure compliance with policies and protocols.
• Document nursing encounters using SOAP charting and attend mandatory meetings and trainings.
• Communicate information effectively to nursing staff, physicians, and supervisory personnel.
