What You Will Do

The RNCC Manager (Registered Nurse Care Coordinator Manager) is responsible for promoting a positive patient experience and expediting workflows for the RNCC Team to ensure that patients are medically managed in collaboration with IHI physicians and in accordance with the Indiana’s Nursing Scope of Practice.

The Opportunity

  • Participates in staff supervision, performance evaluation, merit increases and disciplinary action; evaluates staff and teams for continuous safety, quality, professional development and process improvement.
  • Provides day-to-day leadership to the RNCC team to promote a sense of cohesiveness and effective team interactions across disciplines with the Indianapolis office to enhance cohesiveness with the larger organization while promoting efficient operations and positive patient experience and engagement.
  • Fields first line resolution of staff and patient concerns, complaints or questions regarding policies and procedures.
  • Manages department or interdepartmental goals and initiatives.
  • Assists with the monitoring and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to Care Coordination Services across disease populations.
  • Makes recommendations and implements changes regarding care coordination and workflow as appropriate to ensure adherence to quality standards or best practice standards and established strategic plans, procedures and timeline commitments.
  • Develops and oversees training and instruction of new team members in job duties as well as ongoing training and development and competency of team members.
  • Maintains working knowledge of all roles and responsibilities in the RNCC team.
  • Functions as team resource including the evaluation of team specific educational needs and equipment/supply needs and coordination of initiatives and acquisitions.
  • Assists with budget development and monitoring.
  • Disaster point person for team in coordination with leadership regarding safety and direction of patients and staff during fire, tornado or other emergencies.
    • Minimum 3 years experience in nursing; hematology experience preferred. Previous experience in leadership role preferred
    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in nursing; Master’s degree preferred
    • Valid Indiana Nursing license required OR, PA/NP license preferred
    • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance is required. Occasional travel is a requirement of this role.
    • All IHI employees are expected to enable multi-factor authentication via their personal smart phone/smart device in order to access IHI systems as a requirement of the role.

This position is open to residents of the State of Indiana, and requires routine presence at our Center in Indianapolis, IN. Frequency of on-site presence is dependent upon role and department needs.
