Job summary

Saint Luke's East Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiovascular Recovery Unit (CVRU). This full-time role (36 hours/week, day shift) focuses on care for patients undergoing complex cardiovascular and interventional procedures, including PCI, pacemaker placements, IR, and post-STEMI recovery.

You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality nursing care and coordinate care plans for assigned patients.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by AHA or Red Cross.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and interventional procedures.
• Coordinate the plan of care for a group of assigned patients.
• Supervise other patient care staff as needed.

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing complex cardiovascular and interventional procedures, as well as managing acute and critical diagnoses. The RN functions with a high degree of clinical judgement, accountability, and critical thinking while collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Patient Population & Clinical Focus

• Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
• Pacemaker placement
• Peripheral vascular procedures
• Interventional radiology (IR) procedures
• Respiratory failure
• DKA/insulin drips
• Post-STEMI recovery
• Other acute and complex cardiac and critical care diagnoses

In hospital setting, accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients.
