Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for ICU/IMC teams. You will coordinate safe, efficient nursing care, participate in strategic planning and cost control, and support patient safety initiatives within cardiovascular ICU settings.

The role requires Nevada RN licensure, ACLS/BLS, and at least 1 year in acute cardiovascular ICU. Open heart recovery and cardiovascular medication expertise are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• 1 year acute clinical care in Cardiovascular ICU required.
• Open heart recovery experience and extensive cardiovascular medication experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safe, efficient nursing care for patients in the unit/department.
• Participate in strategic planning, service delivery, program development, evaluation and implementation, budget and resource management, cost control, contract compliance and quality improvement.
• Support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities.
• May serve as Charge RN in addition to providing direct patient care.
• Maintain competency with Standards of Care and Practice in the assigned area.
• Assess patient data across the life span to determine age-specific requirements.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Registered Nurse who participates as an active member of the Nursing Team in our ICU/IMC departments.

• You will assume responsibility for coordinating safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective nursing care for patients’ assigned unit/department

• You will have responsibilities that include participating in strategic planning, service delivery, program development, evaluation and implementation, budget and resource management, cost control, contract compliance and quality improvement

• You will support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities

• You may also work as a registered professional in the capacity of Charge RN in addition to being a clinical nurse providing care for patients for an assigned time

• You will maintain current competency with nursing skills required and demonstrates knowledge regarding Standards of Care and Standards of Practice in the assigned area

• You will demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth & development over life span, and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of patient status, and to interpret the data appropriately to identify patient requirements specific to the patient’s age

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred

• Current licensure in Nevada as a Registered Nurse

• Current ACLS, BLS

• Passing score on Critical Care Test/Rhythm interpretation examination

• CCRN preferred

• Minimum 1 year acute clinical care experience in Cardiovascular ICU required

• Open heart recovery experience and extensive cardiovascular medication experience required
