Ochsner Health in New Orleans is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exemplary patient care following the Nursing Process and under the Nurse Practice Act. Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for providing patient care using the Nursing Process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN delegates, directs, and assists licensed and ancillary team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes, and demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability.
Required: Registered Nurse diploma.
Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Required: None.
Required: Current RN License in the state of practice; Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area.
Other related duties as required.

Comply with the Ochsner Health System Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct, including immediate reporting of any known or suspected unethical or questionable behaviors or conduct, patient/employee safety, patient privacy, or other compliance-related concerns.
May require lifting 50 to 100 pounds occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds frequently, or 10 to 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues is routine. Occupation may expose the employee to communicable diseases. Physical demands exceed those for sedentary work.
