This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The role effectively delegates, directs, and assists licensed and ancillary team members; assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity; and supports the company's philosophy of nursing. The job responsibilities include direct patient care, teaching, leadership, and continuous improvement.
Heavy work may involve exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds frequently, or 10 to 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Duties routinely require exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue, and may involve occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases or hazardous medications and waste.
