Henry Ford Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for a 20-bed Surgical Step-Down/Cardiac Telemetry unit. This night-shift role involves continuous cardiac monitoring, wound and post-operative care, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The RN will provide high-quality care for surgical and cardiac patients, document in EMR, and participate in rounds and discharge planning. BSN preferred with Michigan licensure; full-time, benefit-eligible position.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and Michigan RN license or eligibility
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to plan effective nursing care
• Ability to communicate with patients, families, and hospital staff effectively

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for surgical and cardiac patients
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and interpret rhythms
• Document patient changes and implement physician-ordered interventions
• Administer medications, treatments, and post-operative care
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and discharge Instructions
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to develop care plans
• Maintain infection control, safety, and quality standards on the unit
• Mentor new staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes
