Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is hiring a Registered Nurse to join the West Penn Hospital Progressive Care Unit, a 20-bed cardiac monitored unit handling patients with heart failure, post cath, strokes, and other serious conditions. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds PA RN licensure (or eNLC multi-state license) with experience in telemetry or progressive care, and

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or a multi-state license (eNLC) is required.
• Certification in specialty area is preferred.
• Experience on a Progressive Care/Telemetry unit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Assesses patient care needs and plans/implements nursing care.
• Delegates tasks while ensuring patient safety and quality care.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to evaluate clinical care.
• Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient status and interventions.
