Job summary

AtWork Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a specialized Cardiac Surgical Stepdown Unit in Tulsa, OK. This full-time, direct-hire role offers a premium weekend schedule (three 12-hour shifts) and starting pay from $33.15/hour, based on experience.

You will assess and care for post-operative cardiac patients, collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, and educate patients and families on recovery and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Active Oklahoma RN license or Compact Multi-State license.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of two years of recent RN experience.
• Strong cardiac assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using the nursing process.
• Monitor post-operative cardiac surgery patients and respond quickly to changes in condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, rehabilitation, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families regarding recovery, medications, and discharge planning.
• Support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices.
