Job summary

  • Proficient documentation and record-keeping.

Job Summary

Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Observation Unit (COU) provides high‑level nursing care to pre‑ and post‑Cath Lab patients at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. This full‑time day‑shift position involves assessment, documentation, medication administration, procedural assistance, and patient education.


Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, document findings and report changes to the care team.

  • Implement individual care plans and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor for side effects, and document administration.

  • Assist physicians during procedures within documented competency.

Qualifications

Licenses & Certifications


  • RN – Registered Nurse (state or compact licensure).

  • BCLS – Basic Life Support.

  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
