Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, document findings and report changes to the care team.
• Implement individual care plans and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor for side effects, and document administration.
• Assist physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Respond to medical emergencies, including CPR and code team activities.
• Provide patient and family education on conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and national patient safety goals.
• Operate and monitor medical equipment such as IV pumps, monitors, and ventilators.
• Participate in audits, chart reviews, and performance improvement initiatives.
