Summary of Job Duties: The Registered Nurse will promote wellness, improve outcomes, and support self-care within a defined patient population. Responsibilities include providing support, education, and assistance to patients with chronic conditions, developing and implementing health plans, coordinating care and follow-up, and collaborating with physicians to manage prescriptions and patient education. A commitment to achieving positive patient outcomes is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors, or Master's in Nursing.
  • Valid RN License.
  • One year RN experience in ICU or ER.
  • Current BLS and ACLS Certification.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong work ethics and accountability.

Employees must be fitted for and capable of donning PPE including N95 masks, PAPR, or CAPR.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform triage, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and patient education.
  • Deliver nursing care per standards of UAMS, ANA, AR State Board of Nursing, and relevant organizations.
  • Administer medications following clinic standards and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Develop patient’s Plan of Care using assessment data.
  • Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes.
  • Coordinate care and follow-up in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Implement care plans with a Patient and Family Centered Care approach.
  • Advocate for patients and families to ensure safe, competent care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
