Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with shifts from 6:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, and on-call requirements (about 6–7 shifts per month, including weekends).

Requires an Associate's degree or BSN, IL RN licensure, CPR and ACLS; 1 year Cath Lab experience preferred. Competitive hourly pay range and sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Illinois nursing license.
• 1 year Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification (AHA) and ACLS.
• Ability to work with patients, families and health care providers.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and health data collection with patient, family and care team.
• Coordinates care plans to ensure safe, timely interventions.
• Communicates clearly with all customers by phone, in person and in writing.
• Tailors patient and family teaching to learning needs.
• Participates in quality improvement to enhance nursing practice.
• Maintains current knowledge of nursing standards and regulations.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Sign on Bonus:

$20,000- Must have at least 1 year of prior Cath lab experience.

Position Highlights

• Location: Northwest Community Hospital - Arlington Heights, IL
• Full time/Part time: Full Time, 40 hours/week
• Hours: 6:30am ? 5:00pm (Scheduled Monday ? Friday)
• On call required in addition to regular schedule: Approximately 6-7 on call shifts per month including weekends
• Required Travel: No

What you will do:

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

What you will need:

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
• 1 year of Cath Lab experience Preferred
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification
