Job summary

The Cardiac Catheterization Registered Nurse at HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital provides comprehensive care for patients undergoing catheterization and other heart procedures in the Cath Lab. You will administer medications, assess patients, and support physicians during diagnostic and interventional cases.

This role emphasizes patient safety, sterile technique, and potential supervision of students. The position reports to the Cath Lab Manager and requires certification and licensure within 90

Qualifications

• ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN license must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications during cath lab procedures.
• Assess patient status and monitor vital signs during procedures.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath and pacemaker cases.
• Perform sterile scrub duties for catheterization procedures.
• Supervise students as directed by area supervisor.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiac Catheterization Registered Nurse is responsible for overall care and evaluation of patients having catheterization or other heart related procedures performed in the Catheterization Lab. The care an d evaluation shall include medication administration, assessment, physician assistance and other duties which may not be specifically related to nursing functions. These duties include the responsibility for physiologically monitoring patients during cath lab procedures as well as performing sterile scrub procedures for both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath and pacemaker implantation cases. This position reports directly to the Cath Lab Manager. Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor. Employee must have the same licensure or have completed the same training to satisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student. Direct supervision means the primary caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Associate Degree must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
