Job summary

Jefferson Regional Cancer Center seeks a Cancer Screening Navigator RN to promote cancer screening and coordinate educational events. The role focuses on ensuring patients receive appropriate screenings and follow-ups, with care provided at events and in clinic to assess needs and track outcomes.

Qualifications include RN licensure with a nursing degree, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
• Two years nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with government and commercial payer guidelines preferred.
• Current knowledge of routine screening for general population and cancer patients preferred.
• Safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Promotes cancer screening and educational events throughout the year.
• Ensures patients receive necessary screenings and follow-ups.
• Performs care at events and in clinic to assess screening needs.
• Prepares and presents data and educational content to patients and staff.
