Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee, KS seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team on a Mon-Fri schedule from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The role involves comprehensive assessments across physical, psychological, and spiritual domains and requires timely care planning and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license with an Associate's degree in Nursing; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• RN license is required.
• EKG knowledge is required per unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs timely assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Makes decisions and interventions based on nursing diagnoses.
• Sets measurable short and long-range goals and plans of care.
• Prioritizes and completes follow-up assessments; adjusts plans as needed.
• Assesses and interprets diagnostic data and interdisciplinary notes.

Job Description

• Completes timely assessments including physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors, including signs of abuse or neglect.
• Makes appropriate decisions and conducts interventions based on nursing diagnoses according to patients' actual or potential health conditions or needs.
• Sets measurable and achievable short and long-range goals for patients, developing and implementing individualized plans of care.
• Prioritizes and completes follow-up assessments, evaluating and modifying plans of care as needed.
• Assesses and interprets diagnostic data relative to patient age and condition, including lab results, non-invasive monitoring data, and interdisciplinary team notes.
