Job summary

AdventHealth in Kansas seeks a registered nurse for a full-time day shift position. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and adjust care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team.

Qualifications include RN license and BLS; several advanced certifications are preferred. 1+ acute care hospital experience is commonly expected.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Preferred certifications include CCNS, Neonatal Med, PEARS, RDMS-OBGYN, and other advanced credentials.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physical, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, regularly evaluating and revising them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care and ensure effective teamwork.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
