Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our compassionate care team. This full-time day-shift position focuses on holistic patient assessment, care planning, and supportive interventions across physiological, psychological, spiritual and social factors.

You will provide evidence-based nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and help deliver our mission to extend healing through Christ’s ministry while upholding the highest standards of safety

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• RN licensure (EV Accredited Issuing Body) required.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP and PALS certifications referenced in the role description.
• Strong patient assessment and care planning capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Completes timely assessments including physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Sets measurable short and long-range goals and develops individualized care plans.
• Prioritizes follow-up assessments and adjusts plans as needed.

Job Description

Completes timely assessments including physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors, including signs of abuse or neglect. Makes appropriate decisions and conducts interventions based on nursing diagnoses according to patients' actual or potential health conditions or needs. Sets measurable and achievable short and long-range goals for patients, developing and implementing individualized plans of care. Prioritizes and completes follow-up assessments, evaluating and modifying plans of care as needed. Assesses and interprets diagnostic data relative to patient age and condition, including lab results, non-invasive monitoring data, and interdisciplinary team notes.

Pay Range: $32.50 - $60.45
