Summary of Job Duties: The Registered Nurse (Bone Marrow Procurement) provides direct patient care, coordinating care, triaging, and collaborating with clinic staff. Responsibilities include working with patient referral sources, facilitating appointments, coordinating care transitions, and patient education on complex conditions. The RN develops and implements individual health plans with patients, families, and providers.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s, Associate’s, Diploma, or Master’s degree in Nursing
• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Minimum 1 year RN experience
• Valid RN license
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong work ethic and accountability

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current BLS certification

Additional Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and participate in surgical recovery of bone tissue, ensuring aseptic technique and regulatory compliance
• Conduct donor medical history and physical assessments for eligibility
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for procurement processes
• Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and chain of custody
• Label, package, and transport tissues properly
• Manage inventory of supplies and equipment
• Educate families and staff about donation processes
• Participate in quality assurance activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
