Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (Bone Marrow Procurement) will provide direct patient care, coordinate care, triage patients, and collaborate with clinic providers, fellows, and staff. The role involves working with patient referral sources, facilitating appointments, coordinating care transitions, and educating patients on complex conditions. The RN will develop and implement individual health plans in partnership with patients, families, and providers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Associate's, Diploma, or Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
• Valid RN License
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong work ethic and accountability

Preferred Qualifications

• Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in surgical recovery of bone tissue, ensuring aseptic technique and regulatory compliance
• Review donor medical history and physical assessments for eligibility
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for procurement processes
• Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and donor information
• Label, package, and transport tissues properly
• Manage inventory of supplies and equipment
• Educate families and staff about donation processes
• Participate in quality assurance activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
