Job summary

St. Luke’s Health System’s Boise campus is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Bone Marrow Transplant and Hematologic Malignancies team.

This full-time 0.9 FTE role splits time between Primary Nursing and Triage, supporting APPs and coordinating cancer care in a state-of-the-art cancer institute. The position offers a day shift with 4 nine-hour days, no nights or weekend obligations, and a sign-on bonus for new hires.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice
• Experience in oncology nursing preferred
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and assist the APP with patient care, procedures, and care coordination
• Collaborate and work closely with an interdisciplinary team of providers, navigators, pharmacists, patient financial advocates, and other disciplines to provide excellent patient care
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding cancer treatments and management
• Assist with patient assessments, including vital signs and lab results, to develop and implement care plans
• Utilize strong critical thinking and assessment skills to triage calls and evaluate patients of all ages undergoing treatment
• Promote a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness while integrating technical skills and scientific knowledge in clinic and triage processes
