Job summary

Carolina Dunes Behavioral Health in Leland, NC is seeking an onsite Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care. You will supervise care by LPNs/CNAs and other staff, develop care plans, assess patients, and educate patients and families while ensuring safety and quality of care.

Responsibilities include medication administration, patient status assessments, documentation, and collaborating with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years’ nursing experience; behavioral health experience preferred.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and administration procedures.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates nursing care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs; develops and implements care plans.
• Documents and maintains medical records; educates patients and families on health conditions.
• Administers medications per orders with proper patient identifiers; monitors for adverse effects.
• Communicates changes in patient status to providers; participates in hand-offs and team rounds.
